Target environment

  • C9000 series switches
    • IOS-XE 17.3.2 or later

Trouble case

  • Symptoms: Ack import succeeds but Usage Reporting:Last ACK received: and Next ACK deadline: are not updated
    • Cause/Solution: Investigating…

  • Symptoms: Ack import fails with the following error
Import Data Failed
Could not validate trust chain
  • Cause/Solution: The cause may be that the time setting of the device is out of sync. After correcting the device time to the correct time, importing the Ack may succeed.

  • Symptoms: Ack import fails with the following error
Import Data Failed
Signature Verification Failed

  • Cause/Solution: The following actions are required.
    1. Execute the license smart factory reset command
    2. Reboot after saving settings with write memory
    3. Delete the PI information of the corresponding device from CSSM
    4. Output the RUM report again from the device
    5. Import RUM report into CSSM and issue ACK
    6. Import ACK to applicable device
